Mayne Irish Dance is now Pacific Irish Dance!
After many months of careful consideration and planning, we are very pleased to announce that after 5 years as Mayne Irish Dance, the school will be changing it's name to Pacific Irish Dance.
Originally named from it's founder, Mayne Irish Dance was established in 2012 by Charmayne Dulley TCRG. As we embarked on the next 5 years of the school we felt that it was time for the school to establish it's own identity to adequately reflect the newly formalised teaching partnership between Charmayne and Jared and to set the school on the right path for the future.
In deciding a new name for the school, we realised that as a community we had all worked very hard to build a brand behind our very own Pacific Belt competition and the 'Pacific' name already reflected who we are as a school. It was an easy decision to unify the two and we believe the new Pacific Irish Dance brand is something every member of our school community can claim proudly as their own both now and well in to the future.
The new name is effective as of Tuesday 9th May 2017 and will be used for all future public and competitive purposes.
As we transition across to the new name, certain familiar administrative practices will change to bring them into alignment. The first of which is communication.
All email correspondence should be directed from now on to office@pacificirishdance.com.
We also have a brand new website www.pacificirishdance.com specifically designed to provide vital information to new and current students of the school. All information and updates will be added to the website and we hope this will become our central hub as a community.
More backend changes to the business of the school will be gradually phased in in the coming months, as part of the transition, and we will provide updates as these milestones approach.
We wanted to finish by thanking every dancer, parent and friend of the school for their ongoing support and we hope you all join us in embracing our new identity.
Please get in touch if you have any questions at all.
